4" Burrell STW New Build

On behalf of the owners we are pleased to offer for sale this particularly well put together Steam Traction World 4" Burrell Agricultural, supplied in as new condition having only been steamed a handful of times for testing purposes the engine is ready to rally and enjoy.

The STW Burrell is one of our "bread and butter" engines, we have had a good number in over the years and always impressed by how well they go when put together properly. Although all built from the same kits we like that people can really make their engines their own and the builder of this has done just that with the polished smokebox door and some highlighted polished wheel rivets which set the engine off nicely.

Being a brand new engine it runs very well and performed admirably when we had it in steam for the afternoon, as you can see from the video my son put it through its paces and I am sure ended up covering a good few miles in total driving round and round the farm yard! With any new engine we add the caveat that there will be a period of settling in with minor adjustments required but we would have no concern taking the engine to a rally now. The gearguards are currently not fitted for this reason but are supplied painted and ready to fit (about half an hour job which we are happy to do for the new owner)

As with all STW engines the boiler comes fully CE marked, water feed is through a crankshaft driven pump and reliable steam injector. It had a hydraulic and steam inspection by an independent boiler inspector so is ready for immediate collection.

Supplied with the engine is a full set of firing irons, coal oil and if required a days tuition. Nationwide delivery or export can also be arranged.
