4" 10NHP McLaren

An engine that needs little introduction the awesome 10nhp McLaren road loco, a fine example built in 4” scale the engine runs superbly and like Macs in all sizes is a formidable and impressive engine on the road and rally field.

Built to a high standard throughout this Mac is a well sorted and proven engine which is ready to rally and enjoy. We have had the pleasure of driving a number of these engines over the years and this one is probably the gentlest on the regulator even at full working pressure. It has got all the power you would expect but just seems a little bit less of a handful than others.

The boiler is professionally built and CE marked, water feed is through a crank driven pump and reliable steam injector. It has been independently inspected by a well-respected boiler inspector and comes tested ready to rally. The large boiler capacity makes for a free steaming and easy-to-get-along-with engine.

The engine is presented in very nice condition, a couple of areas of paint are showing signs of use and there is some discoloration on the boiler tins near the hot bits but overall she is a good looking and well cared for engine which is now only being sold as the owner moves onto full size steam.

The Mac comes complete with a full set of firing irons, extension chimney, coal, oil and a days tuition included. Also available is a riding trailer in a similar colour scheme.
