1.5" Allchin Traction Engine

I don’t think I have ever seen an engine so finished without actually being finished! This very well made 1.5” Allchin comes with all the little details finished including scale shovel and lamps.

Built to a high standard following the well-known “Royal Chester” design it runs like a little sewing machine and steams particularly well. To finish the engine requires the lagging tins making and painting. It was never quite finished as the builder embarked on a larger project, the stunning 3” Fowler Showmans we also have listed for sale.

Assuming the remaining works are completed to the same high standard then this will be one of the nicer examples of this model around. If required we are happy to recommend experienced model engineers who could finish the engine to your specification.

The boiler looks to be well made and has been hydraulic tested to twice working pressure and fully steam tested. It is water fed through a crankshaft driven pump and steam injector.

The price includes delivery to UK mainland, export can also be arranged. Part exchange of all steam and vintage vehicles is welcome where possible.
