4" Burrell Scenic Showmans

Quite simply one of the best 4" Showmans engines we have seen, meticulously built from Steam Traction World kits the engine is a credit to the builder. The engine is in new as new condition and has just been commissioned for use and undergone a hydraulic and steam test with an independent boiler inspector. Prior to this the engine was on display in the owners living room and the first time it had water in the boiler was in our workshop.

Workmanship throughout is to an excellent standard, the engine runs and steams as well as it looks. The paintwork is to a standard even the best engine painters would be pleased with. The top-works although looks chrome plated is in fact highly finished and polished steel components.

So there are no surprises for potential buyers there are a couple of points to mention, the front tow bracket has got some paint flaking but this is isolated to just the bracket. On the flywheel there is also an area of the paint bubbling on the flywheel which we have tried to highlight in the pictures. These do not distract from an otherwise stunning engine and easily rectified or simply left as is if going on display.

The Burrell is road registered and comes with a full set of firing irons and fitted tarpaulin sheet.
