We are pleased to offer for sale this well sorted and proven 6" Tasker Steam Tractor, based on a somewhat diminutive full size the Tasker offers the enjoyment and benefits of a half size engine but at a size which is practical for storage and transport.

Built in 2014 the engine is presented in very good mechanical condition and has undergone what could be fairly described as a bit of an overhaul by the owner. Along side lots of little odds and sods jobs the engine recently received a full new set of differential gears and replacements throughout the drivetrain on the high speed gear. The boiler was originally built by John Rex Model engineers and received a replacement set of tubes last year, material thickness are good throughout with no signs of concern and it has just gone undergone a full thorough examination, hydraulic and steam test.

These half size Taskers are commonly, yet incorrectly, described as a large 4" Traction Engine however although on paper the overall footprint is similar when parked next to each other the Tasker somewhat dwarfs a 4" and weighs in at almost double the weight. Sitting on the engine is a different experience and the large controls make everything comfortable and easy to use.

We have had a number of these Taskers in and always impressed by how well they go, being a large single cylinder engine they are punchy to say the least with plenty of power on tap. The belly tanks make for a practical engine on the road and rally field with plenty of on board water storage. The engine is road-registered and comes with a folder of boiler history including original certs from John Rex.

For further information or to arrange a viewing please do not hesitate to contact us, as per our normal "ready to rally" sales it comes with a full set of firing irons, coal, oil and a days tuition included.

Important Note: We recommend when purchasing any steam vehicle to employ the services of your own boiler inspector for independent advice and not solely rely on previous test reports.
