4" Burrell Traction Engine. LSM.

On behalf of the owners we are pleased to offer for sale this rather stunning 4" Burrell Traction Engine. Completed in 2018 the engine has clearly seen minimal use since completion with it looking in virtually as new-condition throughout.

Built to the popular LSM design the workmanship throughout is to a high standard, including the rather striking paint scheme and chrome- plated top-works. The engine runs sweetly and as you can see from the videos it is a gentle engine to drive, my 10 year old daughter soon got to grips with it and didn't want to get off! The engine is fitted with Vulcanised rubber tyres and is road registered.

The boiler was built by Bell-Boilers are comes with all the relevant paperwork. Water feed is via a crank driven pump and hand pump, pipework for an injector is also included should the new owner wish to re-fit that in place of the hand pump. Boiler testing has been conducted under the Model Club scheme.

Included in the sale is a full set of firing irons, coal, oil, extension chimney, lamps and a full days tuition if required. We are happy to consider all steam and vintage vehicles part exchange and viewing is welcome at our premises in Suffolk.
