4" Burrell SCC for completion/New build

We are pleased to offer for sale this nicely presented Steam Traction World 4" Burrell SCC, it is around 90% (if not more) complete and available either "as is" or finished by us and ready to rally.

The engine is in the final stages of build and from what we can see all looks to have been done to a high standard so far. Unfortunately, health issues has meant the original builder was unable to finish the engine. It is tantalisingly close to completion, i think a couple of days work it should be in steam.

Works to finish include (but not limited to)
- Final set up of rear axle assembly
- Set timing and cut notches in reverser quadrant
- Paint and fit gear guard
- Lining in a few places
- Fit gauge glasses
- Fit injector and water lifter pipework
- Final fit of cylinder parts such as safeties, governor etc.
- Assemble and fit brake assembly
- Tinkering and fetling once in steam.

"As is" the Burrell could be yours for just £20,000 which offers a considerably saving off the current STW price of over £22,000 with the vulcanised tyres so for anyone considering a new kit this could be a great option even if you decided to completely strip it and change the colour.

Alternatively we can supply it fully finished, steam tested and ready to rally for £23,000 in the existing colour scheme. There is of course the option for us to repaint the engine to your specification, please contact us for a quotation on this.
