A well presented and nicely made 3" Burrell Traction Engine to the Plastows design. The engine comes complete as a ready-to-rally outfit with a sturdy riding trolley, firing irons, loading ramps and 12 volt blower along with a box of spare gauges, fittings and the necessary blanking plates for a hydraulic test.

This example has a steel boiler with expanded-in tubes, water feed is through crank driven pump and an effective steam injector. As with all our stock engines the boiler inspections have been done by an independent inspector. 

​

The engine is two speed with a differential and winch fitted. It runs well and has plenty of power to comfortably pull two adults, the straked wheels are very effective even on damp rallyfields.

This scale is very practical for transport and storage. With the rear seats down the engine, trailer and ramps comfortably fit in our average size 4x4 and there is still plenty of space for the toolbox and a bag of coal.
